Eat the Seasons

Eat the Seasons

Season’s eatings!

Whether it’s fresh green asparagus, the first strawberry of summer, juicy blackberries, or rich winter game, eating seasonally is not only good for our health and our wallets – it helps support our local producers, too.

Fresh, naturally ripe ingredients taste better and have more nutrition than foods harvested before they’re ripe and then shipped long distances.

And shopping where you live means you’re likely to be buying locally-sourced, fresh produce – supporting local farmers and the environment by making the journey from farm to fork much shorter.

Our Live Love Local butchers and greengrocers all have plenty of fresh, seasonal produce, so here’s what you should be looking for each month, with some recipes to inspire you.
