Fareham Live to host Two Colours Ukrainian Choir

Fareham Live has announced that it will be welcoming the fantastic ‘Two Colours Ukrainian Choir’ to the venue on Wednesday 17 June.

Emerging from the conflict in Ukraine and seeking refuge in Hampshire, this inspirational group of resilient women came together to form the Two Colours Ukrainian Choir. Not only are its members very talented performers, but also demonstrate incredible bravery and courage.

They have been studying to learn English at Havant and South Downs Colleges since their relocation to Hampshire and will be merging their studies with their love of their home country and music by performing a concert with songs in both Ukrainian and English.

This event ties into the national Refugee Week from 15-21 June, with this year’s theme being ‘Courage’. The Two Colours Ukrainian Choir concert will be titled ‘The Courage of Two Colours’ and tickets for the concert can be found on the Fareham Live website.

Working with Schools

In preparation for the concert, Fareham Borough Council has also arranged for some members of the Choir to perform at local schools across Fareham. This outreach programme will teach hundreds of children more about Ukrainian dance, culture and music.

The residents of Fareham continue to astound with the generosity and support that they have shown to the people of Ukraine.
