Fareham Live is a thriving community space, offering far more than its fantastic theatre programme.

It also hosts a wide range of community activities, workshops and children’s projects for local people to come together, socialise, learn, enjoy and have fun.

Vocals and Vibes – Friday 19 June and Friday 24 July

An informal evening of musical favourites led by a live musical director. Sing along, try something new or just enjoy the atmosphere. No experience needed. Bring friends or come solo and make a night of it.

Writing Workshop – Friday 17 July

Love a good mystery? Step into the world of crime, suspense and storytelling in our themed writing workshops. Whether you’re crafting a gripping murder plot or building tension in a mysterious tale, these friendly sessions are open to all abilities. Explore ideas, develop your voice and bring your stories to life in a relaxed and supportive group.

National Theatre Live

National Theatre Live has come to Fareham Live, bringing world-class theatre to local audiences through state-of-the-art cinematic broadcasts direct from London’s National Theatre.

Unlike watching NT Live in a standard cinema, Fareham Live provides the rare opportunity to experience these broadcasts within a true theatre environment -complete with professional staging, theatrical acoustics, and the shared anticipation of a live audience. This fusion of cutting-edge cinema and traditional theatre atmosphere creates an immersive and distinctive way to enjoy National Theatre productions, closer to the spirit of being there in person.

The NT Live season at Fareham Live will continue throughout 2026, featuring an exciting line-up of contemporary dramas, classic works, and innovative new productions from leading creative voices across the UK and beyond, including:

  • Les Liaisons Dangereuses – Saturday 27 June
  • The Sensational 60s Experience – Saturday 10 October

Behind the Curtain Tour – Saturday 25 July

Step behind the scenes at Fareham Live and discover how the magic of theatre comes to life. Perfect for families, this interactive tour gives curious minds a chance to explore backstage areas, from dressing rooms to technical spaces. Learn how shows are brought together and see the theatre from a whole new perspective.

Summer Youth Project

Fareham Live’s exciting Summer Youth Project invites up to 100 young performers, aged eight to 18, to step into the spotlight as they rehearse, create, and perform the timeless tale of Peter Pan within a professional theatre.

From singing pirates and daring swordfights to fantastical make-believe, Peter Pan is a story filled with magic, swashbuckling fun, and a sprinkle of fairy dust. This project will support your child in building confidence, teamwork, and creativity through drama, dance, and song — all guided by experienced theatre professionals in a safe and supportive environment.

The two-week project runs from Monday 26 July to Saturday 8 August and culminates in five performances of this full-scale musical under the supervision of a highly skilled creative team!

Clubs and Societies

There are also a number of clubs and societies that use the interval spaces at Fareham Live to socialise over there hobbies, there is a weekly Pilates class for all abilities to promote community health and wellbeing and the venue is also dog friendly with ice-cream and treats available for customers’ four-legged friends.
