Green Flag Awards received by Fareham again!
Two of our much-loved green spaces, Holly Hill Woodland Park and the Sensory Garden, have received the prestigious Green Flag Award this year.
That means this is the 16th year running that the Sensory Garden in Fareham town centre has received the award, and the 18th year running for Holly Hill Woodland Park!
The sites are two of 2,250 in the UK to achieve the award, which is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces. Receiving this prestigious award again is testament to the hard work of Council officers and volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain them at the highest standards for everyone to enjoy.

Holly Hill Woodland Park
Sarisbury Green, SO31 7BH
Holly Hill Woodland Park is a 35-hectare historic landscape stretching from Sarisbury Green to the River Hamble. The site has two distinctive areas – Winnards Copse with its more formal landscape, lakes and ornamental exotic species and Cawtes Copse with its mix of native woodland species, some of which is ancient semi-natural woodland.
Visitors can explore extensive lakes with islands and waterfalls, a sunken garden, and some fine examples of Pulhamite Stonework that create the dams and even an elaborate fern grotto. A walk through the site can be extended into the Wendlehome Nature Reserve.
