Our Christmas lights switch-on event is our biggest event of the year, attracting thousands of people to the town centre! It’ll be taking place in West Street, Fareham, with the lights being switched on at 5:30pm at the Performance Podium. A wonderful golden theme will bring the Council’s 50th anniversary this year to an end.
There will be an indoor Christmas market, free children’s activities including circus skills, bubble wonderland, arts and craft and Christingle making, fun fair rides and games, festive food and drink, street and stage performers and more!

Shopping
Get your Christmas shopping done whilst supporting our local businesses! This year the Christmas market, managed by Funyard Events, will be open all weekend, located by Costa within Fareham Shopping Centre. Thirty stalls will be selling all sorts of quality products, from sweet treats and homemade gifts to Christmas decorations and stocking fillers. You’ll also be able to visit the independent traders as well as your typical high street shops in Fareham town centre.

Festive Food
Find a selection of food concessions along the pedestrianised area including street food, hog roast and sweet treats! You can find details of them here.
Enjoy mulled wine and other festive tipples at various premises along West Street, and take your pick from a good selection of eateries, from the High Street right through to the western end of West Street.
