Countdown is on to prestigious theatre and arts venue

The countdown is on to the launch of ‘Fareham Live’ a brand vibrant theatre, arts, and entertainment venue, scheduled to open its doors in 2024.

Upcoming performances already announced include, The Rocky Horror Show in October, Jane McDonald in November and Cinderella Panto in December.

This is an exciting new-build project in the heart of the town centre, on the former site of Ferneham Hall, with a main theatre that can host around 800 people.

Quality stage and backstage areas include a fly tower to allow for curtains, lights, scenery, and people, to be lifted off stage quickly and safely, attracting prestigious shows to use the theatre and positioning it as a leading performing arts destination in the region.

A flexible smaller secondary performance area will have capacity to host up to 120 people and there will be spaces for community groups and organisations to hire as well as studio space for activities such as yoga, dance, exhibitions, and conferences.

An interval space including a stylish bar and café area complete the offering, a bustling hub of activity, daytime and evening, seven days a week and offering something for everyone.

A professional, specialist operator will be appointed by the Council this summer and an entertainments programme will follow later in the year.
