Get ready for a star-studded first season at Fareham Live

Fareham Live has a vibrant programme of events lined up for its first season, and tickets are already flying out to excited customers.

The glittering programme starts on October 1, when Jason Donovan strides on stage as Frank N Furter in the legendary Rocky Horror Show.

And there are more big names in the mix, with upcoming shows featuring Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Adam Kay, Jimmy Car, Anton du Beke and Jane McDonald. Celebrity dancing brothers AJ and Curtis Pritchard will also be starring in the magical Christmas panto, Cinderella.

There are dozens of brilliant shows in the line-up, and we’ve picked just a few of our favourites.

Adam Kay Undoctored (October 6)

The former NHS doctor’s memoir This Is Going To Hurt was a sensation, selling three million copies and becoming a multi-BAFTA winning BBC series.

Now Adam Kay brings Undoctored to the stage, where he shares more hilarious and moving tales of life on and off the wards.

 Michael Starring Ben (October 9)

Direct from the West End, this hit theatre production stars the UK’s ultimate Michael Jackson tribute star Ben Bowman.

The show features some of the singer’s greatest hits and iconic dance routines.

Shrek the Musical (October 24-26)

Fareham Musical Society presents Shrek the Musical.

The perfect ogre-sized night out for kids big and little, this comedy musical is full of great songs, dance, and laugh-out-loud moments.

Jimmy Carr Laughs Funny (October 30)

If you love Jimmy’s edgy comedy, this is the show for you!

Elton John by Candlelight (October 31)

A fantastic cast of West End singers and a live band will bring all of Elton’s greatest hits, including I’m Still Standing, Bennie and the Jets, Candle in the Wind, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Rocket Man, to life in a stunning candlelit performance.

The Drifters (November 2)

The legendary Drifters are back on tour performing hits including Saturday Night at the Movies and Kissin’ in the Back Row.

Showman: An evening with Anton du Beke (November 13)

Expect a fab-u-lous evening with Strictly dancer and judge Anton du Beke as he dances, sings and tells hilarious behind-the-scenes stories of life on TV’s favourite dance show.

The Nutcracker (November 25)

Enter a magical world in this seasonal favourite brought to you by the Crown Ballet. It’s the perfect way to start Christmas.

Sir Ranulph Fiennes – Mad, Bad and Dangerous (November 27)

The world’s greatest living explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, shares stories of his extraordinary feats of daring and exploration, accompanied by never-before-seen images and videos.

Cinderella (December 13-January 5)

Dancing brothers AJ and Curtis Pritchard are Prince Charming and Dandini in this magical family panto.
