Everyone Active launches expanded Champions scheme

Award-winning leisure operator, Everyone Active, has launched two new initiatives – Community Champions and Colleague Champions – which are designed to celebrate the unsung heroes and their dedication to going above and beyond.

Community Champions will shine a light on those who work hard to bring communities together. Successful applicants will secure supported funding to run their space directly from an Everyone Active centre, in addition to increased exposure of their valuable work through social media, newsletters and the press.

Those selected for the Community Champions scheme also have a chance of being shortlisted for the Champions Awards later this year.

Meanwhile, Colleague Champions will recognise and reward its employees who consistently go out of their way to create a positive experience for those around them.  It will celebrate exceptional customer service, innovative ideas, teamwork, leadership and dedication to Everyone Active’s values.

Colleague Champions can be nominated by customers or fellow colleagues and will receive a high-value voucher as a reward for being accepted onto the scheme.

Projects or colleagues local to Fareham Leisure Centre and Holly Hill Leisure Centre, managed in partnership with Fareham Borough Council, will be eligible to apply to become Community or Colleague Champions.

The two new schemes are built on the success of Everyone Active’s Sporting Champions scheme.

Since its inception in 2016, Sporting Champions has elevated the sporting careers of more than 6,000 athletes across the country through free access to state-of-the-art facilities in addition to valuable mentoring and workshop events alongside some of the UK’s most influential sporting talents.

Applications for both Community and Colleague Champions open on Thursday 1 May 2025 and close on Thursday 12 June 2025. To find out more and to apply, please visit the Champions website.
