Hook with Warsash, Local Nature Reserve

Come along on a walk with us to Hook Local Nature Reserve!

Hook-with-Warsash is a nature reserve covering over 500 acres, and it is one of the most diverse sites in the region.

You can travel along woodlands and the shoreline and explore a variety of habitats and spot a host of wildlife.

The areas of grassland and scrub have a range of breeding birds including linnets, meadow pipits and skylarks.

Unfortunately, some of these habitats are rare and declining in the region. However, your best chance of catching a glimpse of some of the beautiful wildlife is about 2½ hours before high tide, so keep a look out!

The route takes you across fields and over stiles, and typically takes 90 minutes to complete.

You may encounter other people fishing, birding and hiking your journey!

Dogs are also welcome on the route!
