It’s Christmas time at The Dovecote Eatery

For a wonderful opportunity to shop locally this Christmas, head over to The Dovecote Eatery on December 10.

In collaboration with Nest and Anchor events, The Dovecote is holding an outdoor Christmas Market, packed with local, independent retailers who are ready and stocked with gifts for everyone.

To warm up while you browse, tempting tipples will be available from the bar, including classic Christmas favourites like mulled wine and hot chocolate!

Helen Ruff, of Nest and Anchor and the market organiser, said: “We wanted to host a Christmas market as a big festive celebration.

“It’s Nest and Anchor’s first Christmas. We’ve had such a fantastic response from the local community, so we wanted to put on something a bit different for The Dovecote’s customers.

“Fareham needs a creative market to celebrate and unite the fantastic local makers and producers. It’s all very well buying Christmas gifts from big multinational companies, but if you buy from independent small businesses, you get something truly unique.

“Plus, it gives something back to the local economy… and gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside – and who doesn’t want that at Christmas?

“There’s so much more to experience at the market than shopping too. We’re hoping visitors will hang around to enjoy the entertainment we’ve got lined up. Plus, we’ve got a charity raffle in aid of Motiv8 – a local youth charity – as well as plenty of delicious food and drink!”
