There are plenty of free and low cost activities to enjoy in Fareham during the summer holidays

Play Day – 13 August

Bring a picnic, enjoy a day of activities in the woods and be in with a chance of winning prizes!

 Families can get involved in den building, woodland crafts and much more! Complete the activity stamp card and hand it back to the Everyone Active  stand for a chance to win one of 4 prizes:

Play at the Podium

Play at the Podium is taking place every Thursday throughout August in the town centre, with all sessions running from 11.00am to 1pm in and around the podium in West Street!

7 August: Circus Skills Workshop, craft activities by the Craft Makery and hair braiding
14 August: Crazy M, craft activities by the Craft Makery and hair braiding
21 August: Puppet show, hair braiding and face painting
28 August: Interactive storytelling, craft activities by the Craft Makery and hair braiding

There is no need to book and all activities are free of charge!

Pop-up beach

Located inside the shopping centre, near B&M, our much-loved giant sandpit is free to use right through until October!

There’s also a ‘grassed’ area where children can play with a range of lawn games throughout the year, free of charge. Additional lawn games will be taking place on the following dates:

Monday 21 – Sunday 27 July
Monday 18 – Sunday 24 August
Monday 22 – Sunday 28 September

Look out for activities run by Everyone Active on the first Friday of every month!

Opening times of the sandpit are during Fareham Shopping Centre’s opening times: Monday-Saturday 9am-5:30pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.

Soft play and ping pong

Fareham shopping centre has a soft play area for young children to enjoy, right alongside the pop-up beach! See the rules of play at their website.

Everyone is welcome at the ping pong parlour, also located inside the shopping centre, opposite Vision Express. Grab a bat and have a match – it’s completely free!

Sweet Peas Play Café

Fareham’s first family-run award-winning roleplay café with 10 roleplay areas is open Monday to Sunday from 9.30am until 4pm. There is no need to book and there are no sessions so no time restrictions! You can also find a freshly prepared menu to keep you going while you’re there.

If you’re feeling crafty you could win a summer pass in the Summer Craft Competition! Pop in during the opening times above and create something fabulous for a chance to win! The competition closes on 31 July.

Crafty Makery

Find Crafty Makery inside Fareham Shopping Centre for ceramic painting, printed t shirts and bags, and coasters! They also have special sessions running for the summer holidays. Booking is advised – give them a call on 01329 3705557.

Monday: Creative summer art 10.30am-3.30pm, cost £3
Tuesday: Create characters from paper plates, 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm, 3.30pm, cost £2
Wednesday: tye-dyed t shirts, 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm (please bring a light coloured t shirt) – cost £4, rock painting, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm – cost £3, and windmills, 1.30pm and 3.30pm – cost £2

Fareham Leisure Centre

This summer Fareham Leisure Centre are running Everyone is Family Summer Sessions for £2!

From 23 July to 1 September, here’s what’s on every week:

Wednesdays at 3.30pm: Top Rock Climbing
Saturdays at 5.30pm: Splash Pad
