February half term is fast-approaching, and it can be tricky to know just how to fill that winter week off.
So, we’ve rounded up the best local activities and half term ideas on our patch to give you some inspiration.
Foundation Play, Boundary Oak School
Foundation Play offers holiday clubs at Boundary Oak School in Fareham for children from 4-11 years old. Registered with Ofsted, it hosts a wide range of activities including playtime, arts and crafts and sports.
The most popular games include capture the flag, gymnastics, and science experiments. It’s a chance for children to play and learn at the same time, while being cared for by a trusted team.

Super Sleuths Fort Nelson, Portchester
Immerse your child in the history of Fort Nelson and help them take on the ‘Mystery of the Missing Money’. Grab a notebook and explore the fort to search for the suspects of the crime.
It’s their mission to work out whose story will not stand up in court and catch the culprit! There will be characters to help – but don’t believe everything they say!

Cobra King NERF event, Fareham Leisure Centre
Jump into an action-packed King Cobra NERF event, allowing your children to have fun and keep fit at the same time, with plenty of team building games! NERF blasters, NERF darts and safety goggles are all provided.
The Popup Events Company is hosting a Cobra King NERF event for children aged six and above every day this half term. On Wednesday 15th February it’s coming to Fareham Leisure Centre.

Feathered Friends Craft Activity, Westbury Manor Museum
Get crafty and create your own happy home for a robin. Children will be given their own nest box and kit to put together and decorate. They can then watch the birds flock to their new home! Why not go to the museum while you’re there and discover more about the history of Fareham Borough! There’s workshops, quizzes, and drop-in activities.

Red Spider Climbing, Fort Wallington
Red Spider is providing taster sessions in half term. Here, children can get involved in climbing in a relaxed environment and develop at their own pace, to see whether they like it.
