For most parents and grandparents, the chance for a child-friendly café catch-up with coffee and a cake is a rare treat, but it’s always there for the taking at Sweet Pea’s Play Café on Fareham’s West Street.

A world of wonders, the play café provides fun and safe play sessions for children from birth up to 8-years-old with miniature playrooms to interest every child. There’s a doctor’s surgery, a supermarket, a construction site, and a garden.

There’s even a sensory room and baby space and the café has recently announced the long-awaited return of its potting shed, where children can paint and craft to their heart’s content!

Fareham patch hidden gem owned by Claire White; Sweet Peas opened its doors back in 2018. As well as the play areas, other treats on offer include indulgent chocolate cakes and millionaire’s shortbread, and even gluten-free options so nobody misses out.

As summer is fast approaching, there’s no better time to get out and enjoy some quality family time – but staying local. A short walk from Fareham Town Centre, you could merge it with a visit into town after a fun-filled session at Sweet Peas, to finish some shopping while the kids take a nap in the pram!
