Veganuary is here!

If you’re giving Veganuary a go this year, you’re already vegan, or you simply want to cut down on your meat and dairy intake – here are the best spots around our patch that are offering vegan alternatives.

The Mansion at Coldeast is a great place to start for breakfast, offering a vegan breakfast, crushed avocado and a granola bowl with oat milk.

You could also take a stroll around the area and follow the walk on our blog starting at the Mansion and looping around Holly Hill Park.

Here, you could grab a coffee or tea at Holly Hill Cafe, with any of their vegan, non-dairy alternative milk – including soya, oat, coconut and almond.

With a whole menu dedicated to their vegan items, The Dovecote Eatery has a huge variety for Veganuary!

For breakfast, they have a large selection of dishes including vegan sausage sandwich, tofu on toast and a breakfast wrap.

They also offer a warm cheese baguette and fries for lunch.

If you would like a sweet treat, they have vegan cakes, scones and brownies – even milkshakes!

The Salt Cafe in Portchester offers a seaview with a brilliant menu – not forgetting vegans!

They have breakfast items including sandwiches, avocado on toast and granola bowls. You can also get takeaway drinks and sit on their deck – weather permitting of course!

The Oaty Goat in Locks Heath also offers vegan lunch options. They have a beetroot and spinach falafel tortilla and jacket potato with beans and vegan cheese.

For dessert, why not try their vegan ice creams or sorbet with vegan sauces and toppings?

For an Italian night, Three Joes pizza in Fareham offer vegan alternatives to their classics such as vegan BBQ pulled ‘pork’, roasted aubergine and winter squash and roasted flat mushrooms.

For online shoppers, you can buy handmade vegan fudge from Flamingo Fudge, delivered to your door. This would be a great alternative in Veganuary, or a gift for a vegan friend!

You can also order bespoke cakes for occasions, or just as a pick-me-up from the Bake Bag on Instagram, who can make your order vegan on request!
